FORGIVING THE UNFORGIVABLE

This is one of the most powerful gifts that the medicine wheel teaches us. You can only forgive when you are ready but you need to do certain things to prepare yourself. Until you acquire this gift you will never be who the Creator wants you to be.

F is for fulfillment. Once you forgive the person, place or institution you will come full circle and you will no longer carry that baggage of resentments around with you. You will gain peace and serenity in your life in a way you have not known previously.

O is for openness. You have to be open to the healing spirit of letting go. Once you surrender your right to hate and resent whatever it is, then you will be open to the beauty and love that is all around you.

R is for recovery. By the act of forgiveness you will learn what real recovery is all about. First we recover, and then we rediscover who we really are. This is a process and not an event, so once you do it you must continue to forgive others in order to progress in your healing journey.

G is for greater good that comes from the Creator, Higher Power or whatever you call your spiritual source. By forgiving the unforgivable, you will become closer to your Creator and learn how to maintain conscious contact with Creator.

I is for the individual. One of the hardest things to do is to forgive yourself for what you have done. Our Creator is a loving spiritual power and the Creator is forgiving. Once we forgive ourselves for everything we have regretted doing then we will experience only the love the Creator meant for us.

V is for vision. Once you forgive in all areas of your life then you will become clearer on what your purpose is. One of the things that holds us back and keeps us from doing the Creator’s work is that we sometimes hold onto that one thing we are not able to ask forgiveness for.

E is for emotional well-being. In the teachings of the Medicine Wheel, we talk about being in balance mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. When you learn the gift of forgiveness for you and others you will walk in beauty and in balance.

Mates for Life

How the Female Eagle Chooses her Mate

as told by the...

Wintu Tribal Elders of California!

When it comes time for the female Eagle to choose her mate,

She prepares herself for many suitors.

And many come before her.

She looks them over quite well and then picks one to fly with for awhile.

If she likes the way he flies she finds a small stick,

picks it up and flies high with it.

At some point she will drop the stick to see if the male can catch it.

If he does, then she finds a larger stick

and flies with it much higher this time.

Each time the male catches the sticks,

she continues to pick up larger and larger sticks.

When she finds the largest, heaviest stick that she herself can carry,

the stick is at this point almost the size of a small log!

But she can still fly very high with this large stick.

At any time in this process, if the male fails to catch the stick,

she flies away from him as her signal that the test is now over.

She begins her search all over again.

And when she again finds a male she is interested in,

she starts testing him in the exact same way.

And she will continue this "testing"

until she finds the male Eagle who can catch all the sticks.

One of the reasons for this test is that at some point

they will build a nest together

high up and will then have their Eaglettes.

When the babies begin to learn to fly, they sometimes fall instead.

It is then? that the male must catch his young. And he does!

The female Eagle and their Eaglettes have depended

on him to be strong for them.

Just as we Woman and Children need to depend upon our Men.

So what I would like to offer to you my friends is this.....

Sisters, how well do you "test" your suitors

before you allow them into your life?

And my Brothers, how well have you caught the "sticks" for

your women and your children?

Whatever our past has been like, if we need to change,

let's do so now together.

Our children are counting on us to make these good choices

for them and for their children.

The Gathering
What once was summer has passed on by
And the new season has begun in a color....
Of gold and brown, with an awesome Autumn sky
For this time of year is like no other....
just like the pilgrims and Indians who all came before...
The coolers are shut down for the Fall/Winter season
and the heaters are readied just for this reason....

We ready ourselves for the holidays that are near
and our tastebuds are all in the ready....
for the vision of Turkies and Pumpkins and such
lend to the feeling that we may eat to much....
Reservations, for planes and trains we may try
and maybe this year we'll just go by car and not fly....
Family is awaiting the rest of it's brood
to partake in the fellowship and devour the food....

Mind over Matter

Is everyone's life really different,

or is there a thread that connects us all?

The experience we have seem oddly connected,

you'll understand my friend at the end of the long haul.

You say to yourself "What a coincidence"

you're asking yourself "Is this just a clue"

All things that have hapened before this moment,

are connected correctly......spooky, but true!

To get to the place that you want to be,

set your thoughts on it and then magically.....

this place in your mind suddenly appears,

as long as you're not just plain insincere.

It's mind over matter at work in your life,

irony and destiny but hopefully not strife.

Mind over matter is a powerful tool,

use it correctly and follow the rules.

You've got to know where you are trying to go,

you've got to know why or the answer is no.

But all things are possible through mind in this life,

from money & fame to the spiritual life.

Just decide on the things you want as your goal,

use mind over matter and bring shape to the whole.

You'll see life's connections in all that you do,

re-living the future....it's like deja vu.

But you've got to hold on to that feeling inside,

of wanting and striving and direction and pride,

or mind over matter becomes words on a page,

and life in this miracle becomes lines on the stage.

When Life Gets So Hard !!!

I wanted to find some words on a card.
That would help to get thru it when life gets so hard.
It seems you can't bear it - perhaps can't go on -
When deep in the heart there's no trace of a song.

Some words that would comfort -
when late in the night the trials return and -
you're too tired to fight.
Or the tears flow so often it seems you'll run dry.
And life gets so tough that you just want to die -
Or at least go and hide -
where you're safe from all pain.
Someplace you can rest 'til you find joy again.

What are the words you so need to hear -
That will help and will heal and remove all the fear -
That builds up inside 'til you think you'll explode -
What are the words that will lighten the load?

If only I knew the right words to say.
To encourage and Bless you or comfort some way.
I know not the words but this I can do.
I shall offer up Prayers to the Father for you.

MSN Live Spaces....Good or Bad!

So how is everyone liking the new change with spaces,

I Don't mind it, it was such a shock when I came back from vacation to see this

change!

There are things that I don't like either, it's not like I like the whole change, but heck I guess change is good in ways....we will all be so used to this style then guess what?

MSN will shock us again and do some other dramatic change!

So when your site was all messed up, that took hours to redo, I was actually a lucky one, it never really effected my space that much....thank goodness!

Well there is just one thing to say!

But on a better note......

Here is a little joke for you....A little Aboriginal humor!

A drunken ole man staggers angrily into a bar, sits down and orders a drink

Peering around, he sees three men sitting at at corner table.

He gets up, stomps right up to the table,

leans over and looks at the biggest one of them, a Cree dude, and says:

"I went to your Kookum's (granny's) house today and saw her in the hallway buck naked.

Man, she is one fine looking woman!"

The Cree guy just looks at him and doesn't say a word.

His buddies are confused, because he is one bad Indian and would fight at the drop of a hat.

The drunk man leans on the table again and says:

"I got it on with your granny and she is good, the best I ever had!"

The guy's buddies are starting to get mad but he still says nothing.

The drunk man leans on the table one more time and says:

"I'll tell you something else, boy, your granny liked it!"

At this point the Cree dude stands up, takes the drunk man by the shoulders looks him square in the eyes and says:

Mooshum (grandpa), go home, you're drunk."
