Indian Angel
Your wings overshadow my soul,
because of you my life is made whole.

The medicine you carry within your smile,
leads and guides each and every Red mile.

You are the fire that warms the cold,
the Spirit of the story that the Elders told.

You are the beauty that comes in the spring,
you are the reason that the song birds sing.

The moon that pulls the waves to the shore,
to the highest of heavens my heart does soar.

A ceremony of peace and the grace of power,
the beauty of the momentm, the strength of the hour.

When your glory outshined the stars,
and you freed this soul from white bars.

An Indian angel,
that embodies the beauty of her race
An Indian angel,
that is a reflection of the Creator's face

"The Dance of The Warrior Woman."
She dances with passion and grace As the sunlight glistens on her face. Oblivious to all around her She dances to the heartbeat of the Drum. She dances for those who have gone before And for those yet to come.
She dances as the singers sing an ancient tune, She dances to honor Mother Earth, Brother Sun and Sister Moon, She dances for all creation both large and small But it is for her children She dances most of all.
She dances so that they might know, So that they might see and learn, So on she dances on nimble feet Growing stronger with each turn.
Around and around the Circle she dances, Her red shawl swirling in the wind, The dance of the Warrior Woman, Just like the Circle, Has no beginning and no end.

Your Red Heart
Native Woman, your little red heart
Awakens the night sky with fire
Feathers hang from your long black hair
Those turquoise stones around your neck
Your beauty engraved within flesh
Your red spirit strong and whole
From the desert sand to the winter snow
Your footsteps lead me to a better place
A place where you uphold your race
You are a movement that the soul does feel
You are a jewel that no society can steal
A rain that restores and that heals
Washing away the past with grace
In a vision of medicine, I see your face
Native woman, your little red heart
Awakens the day with light and glory
Only you can tell our peoples story

Mother, show me how to love, Beyond my human fear: Teach me all the joys of life Beyond the veil of tears.
Let me find the pleasure of A lover's gentle hands: Let me know the wisdom of Respect without demands.
Oh, Keeper of Forgiveness, Teach me how to see Beyond the petty judgments, Supporting human dignity.
I will learn your Medicine Of Mother, lover, friend, Teaching others how to love And broken hearts to mend.
Mother, teach me how to heal The feelings inside of me: Teach me how to respect all life With burgeoning humility.
Show me the path away from abuse, Where everything sings of life, Where heartache is just a memory Of ancient, human strife.
Let my spirit be healed Until dying holds no fear, Where rebirth is welcomed, Bringing me joyous tears.
These are the things that I desire, For I want to truly know, The pathways and healing passage Through the dark night of the soul.
Thank you, Mother, for teaching me To lift my heart in praise, Filling my spirit with gladness For the blessings of the Beauty Way.
You have taught me how to sing, How to rejoice, dance and drum, And how to sing my gratitude For the abundance that will come.
You have shown me the magic of A change in the mind and heart, An attitude made of wisdom That celebration of life imparts.
I sing the truth of thankfulness
When I greet Grandfather Sun,
Then send my love to Mother Earth
For the life force that makes us one."

FORGIVING THE UNFORGIVABLE
This is one of the most powerful gifts that the medicine wheel teaches us. You can only forgive when you are ready but you need to do certain things to prepare yourself. Until you acquire this gift you will never be who the Creator wants you to be.
F is for fulfillment. Once you forgive the person, place or institution you will come full circle and you will no longer carry that baggage of resentments around with you. You will gain peace and serenity in your life in a way you have not known previously.
O is for openness. You have to be open to the healing spirit of letting go. Once you surrender your right to hate and resent whatever it is, then you will be open to the beauty and love that is all around you.
R is for recovery. By the act of forgiveness you will learn what real recovery is all about. First we recover, and then we rediscover who we really are. This is a process and not an event, so once you do it you must continue to forgive others in order to progress in your healing journey.
G is for greater good that comes from the Creator, Higher Power or whatever you call your spiritual source. By forgiving the unforgivable, you will become closer to your Creator and learn how to maintain conscious contact with Creator.
I is for the individual. One of the hardest things to do is to forgive yourself for what you have done. Our Creator is a loving spiritual power and the Creator is forgiving. Once we forgive ourselves for everything we have regretted doing then we will experience only the love the Creator meant for us.
V is for vision. Once you forgive in all areas of your life then you will become clearer on what your purpose is. One of the things that holds us back and keeps us from doing the Creator’s work is that we sometimes hold onto that one thing we are not able to ask forgiveness for.
E is for emotional well-being. In the teachings of the Medicine Wheel, we talk about being in balance mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. When you learn the gift of forgiveness for you and others you will walk in beauty and in balance.
